Highly proactive

I don’t wait to be told what to do. When I see something that can be improved or a problem I can help solve, I step in, whether it’s part of my role or not.

Top performer energy

I like to keep things moving. I improve in motion, refining ideas as we go and turning imperfect starts into strong, well executed outcomes.

Problem solver

I’m motivated by solving real problems. If something isn’t working, I look for solutions and speak with the right people to move things forward, even when it’s outside my formal responsibilities.

Highly Autonomous

I work with very little supervision. Once I understand the goal, I organize my own tasks and find ways to contribute meaningfully, even when the path isn’t clearly defined.

Kind and Direct

I value honesty and clarity. I speak up when something needs to be said, always respectfully, but directly, with the intention of improving outcomes and team dynamics.

This is my background

Born and raised in Cuba

I was born and raised in Cuba, and that experience deeply shaped how I see work and challenges. I learned early that things are rarely easy, and that obstacles are part of the process, not a reason to stop. I didn’t have access to the internet until 2018, well into my twenties, yet I was already working in design and finding ways to learn, practice, and grow. That environment taught me resilience, creativity under constraints, and the confidence to move forward even when the conditions aren’t ideal.

Constest winner kid

I started drawing as a kid, encouraged by my parents to explore it seriously. When I was four years old, I entered my first drawing contest and won first prize, which motivated me to keep going. I continued participating in contests and took weekly drawing lessons for years without stopping. Along the way, I learned something just as important as technical skill: persistence, and the understanding that not winning or getting the result you hoped for doesn’t mean failure, it just means you keep going.

High Standards and grades

I’ve always done well academically, but I’ve never seen grades as a guarantee of success. What mattered more to me was the process of improving and pushing my own limits, regardless of how things were measured. In design school, when an exercise required ten options, I often brought thirty because I wasn’t satisfied with stopping early. Being among the top students academically was a result of my personal standards, not my motivation, and those standards have stayed with me far beyond school.

Spanish citizenship

When I decided to move to Spain, I arrived with €3,000 in cash and a part-time job paying around $400 per month, roughly €350. With that income, I lived in Spain for a full year while finishing my master’s degree in illustration. Financially, staying in Cuba would have been easier, but I felt I wasn’t being challenged enough and needed to test my skills outside that environment. After three years, I obtained Spanish nationality, validating a decision driven by growth, risk, and the desire to build a life with broader possibilities.

Work Experience

AI Enhanced Creative Lead, AI Mentor

Superside

2022 - Present

At Superside, I supported global brands like Webflow, BCG, and Twilio with design assets creation. I collaborated with the Craft, Productivity, and Learning teams to propose initiatives to improve our design process. As an AI mentor, I guided Creative Leads and Designers in integrating AI tools into their daily work, led interactive sessions, reviewed output, and co-developed a simplified training program that boosted both creativity and efficiency across the team.

Co-Founder / Creative Director

Perspectiva

2017 – 2022

At Perspectiva, a brand consulting firm focused on improving public perception and internal coherence, I worked as a Creative Director, guiding interdisciplinary teams to deliver strategic design solutions for Cuban and international clients. I led branding, signage, and spatial design projects, transforming client briefs into clear visual strategies and supervising their execution across design, communication, and psychology teams. Key responsibilities included overseeing the remodeling of office spaces for TaxisCuba, coordinating a complete rebrand for Radio Reloj—including diagnosis, manuals, and implementation—and presenting our decisions and outcomes directly to clients. I also managed client relationships, negotiated budgets, and ensured that every solution aligned with both the client's goals and Perspectiva’s high standards of quality and clarity.

A bunch of old photos
of my beginnings
  • At Perspectiva, created this stand to help the company Tínima to boost their social media with an element that people could upload to their Instagram.

  • I got a lot of management experience working building booths for international fairs. We strategized, designed and build for government institutions.

  • This was my first experience working with a booth. The different panels reprsented the process of creating beer.

  • We helped this company to pitch to the goverment for founding with marketing actions that leaned into artistic manifestations.

  • This is me correcting some print specifications in a document before going to impement some files. At Perspective we always aim to deliver perfection.
